The Zeebaboe follows the well-being and development of the children, so that they can guide, stimulate and support them as well as possible. For this we use the observation method “So do I”. Our pedagogical staff are trained to work with this method.
The observation gives a clear picture of the development of the child. Every year you are invited for an interview. Through accurate tracking, the pedagogical employees can respond together with the parents in time if the development lags behind and thus ensure that any development problems remain limited. When the child goes to elementary school, we pass the observation booklet to the parents. Approximately two months before the child goes to primary school, a transfer form toddler – toddler will be filled in, discussed with the parents and then delivered to the new teacher of the chosen primary school. This way a good estimate can be made of the development, what the child can do or what it still has problems with. It helps to make the right start at school. The primary schools also work with observation forms. this ensures a pleasant transfer and continuous line.
Why a child-tracking system?
By monitoring and charting the well-being and development of your child, pedagogical employees can respond well to the development opportunities and opportunities of the children, in consultation with the parents. We use the observations as the basis for parent conversations, which ensures that you have a good idea of how your child is doing. By observing, our pedagogical employees can offer children something extra in certain areas and set accents in the guidance. For example, a child needs some more challenge in the motor or creative field, and some extra attention in the language area. We offer tailor-made guidance and we can signal striking present or specific details on time.
How does it work?
Your child’s pedagogical employee will observe your child on a regular basis. Every child has its own “follow book” in which the observations are recorded. For example, it keeps track of the extent to which your child is curious and enterprising, has self-confidence and is involved in activities. In addition, it is charted which steps your child has taken in different development areas. The follow-up booklet will be completed at the daycare center about three months before and three months after the changeover to a new group. This is followed by a well-being interview with the parents. When your child goes to primary school, we ask for permission for a transfer to primary school.

Childcare organizations want to offer children a safe environment. An environment in which a child feels safe and comfortable to be, play, learn and discover. This is not only a physically safe environment, but also a socially safe environment. The well-being of the children is paramount. The risk inventory & evaluation (RI & E) is carried out every year at De Zeebaboe.
Every year we are obliged to carry out the health and safety risk inventory. This risk inventory is also checked by the municipality and the GGD.
On behalf of the municipality, all day care centers are inspected annually by the GGD in accordance with the quality childcare and playgroup regulations. On the basis of this inspection, the childcare provider receives a report. These reports are freely available on our site and can be viewed via the website Landelijk Register Kinderopvang.
Childcare The Zeebaboe is registered in the National Register Childcare and Playgroups (LRKP). Every childcare facility (whether it is a day nursery, an organization for out-of-school care and a childminder agency or a childminder) has a unique registration number in the National Register for Childcare and Playgroups (LRKP). This number must be passed on by parents to the tax authorities when applying for childcare allowance.
