We work with the recognized VVE program “Peuterplein”. This is a broad package for stimulating the development of young children. It offers a good preparation for group 1 of the primary school. This is due to the fact that all development areas of interest are systematically covered, but there are also baby and toddler activities for each theme.
All Peuterplein activities are aimed at a playful acquisition of knowledge and skills. In preschool age, children mainly learn by playing, experiencing and doing. Senses play a major role in young children. There is therefore a lot of attention to taste, smell, touch and look. During all activities, the active language use of the children is stimulated.
Peuterplein forms a continuous line with other broad nursery expenses that are used at primary school. We regularly inform the parents of the activities in the themes. Parent involvement is very important because the development of young children takes place at home for an important part. The package includes, among other things, picture books, songs and the hand puppet Raai de Kraai.
On Monday mornings from 9:00 to 9:45 a week we have a musical exercise class in the play and play room for children of +/- 1.5 to 4 years. The children are allowed to participate in the exercise program together with a supervisor (dad, mother, grandfather, grandmother, aunt or uncle, etc.). All children of De Zeebaboe are very welcome this morning, even if you stay at De Zeebaboe on another day.
With varied exercises and games, we teach toddlers the basics of exercise.
Learning to move well in the early stages also influences the recording, the understanding and the processing of knowledge. Children who get enough exercise in a fun way at a young age are more likely to grow up healthy and balanced.

The Zeebaboe is an active partner of the Westland Nature and Technology Foundation (WNTweb), formerly Westland Nature and Environment Education (WNME). This means that we, as a childcare organization, encourage the children to go outside, do outdoor activities and discover nature together. Children come into contact with animals, nature and seasons on a weekly basis. This fits completely into our pedagogical policy. Every season we receive a seasonal package, for example a mushroom grow kit. We also regularly receive natural boxes with, among other things, the subjects; wind, branches, snail, butterfly, worm, look and I feel.
